Since 2025 I have led AI engineering for Glide's re-architecture from a traditional no-code platform into an AI-enabled, agentic business software platform. I proposed the architecture, implemented the initial prototype — which became production — and own the agentic runtime subsystem, working alongside six engineers.

- Re-aligned how the entire engineering organization works with coding agents — a 3–5× increase in output without losing usability, security, or design.
- Organized a high-ambiguity transformation across engineering, product, design, and leadership, turning an ambitious vision into milestones teams could ship.
- Worked with the maintainers of an open agent framework to improve agent robustness in production — durability, state recovery, and graceful failure.

Ember is an agentic website builder. A conversation goes in; a designed, written, and deployed site comes out. The agent does the work of an entire studio — brand, layout, page structure, copy, imagery, verification, publication — without a human touching the code.
It is a long-horizon system. Ember holds a design brief as its source of truth, keeps persistent context across sessions, and compiles and checks every page before anything ships. Thousands of people have published real sites with it. This page is its work.
For me, Ember is the sharpest possible probe of agent infrastructure — what an agent needs to do real knowledge work: skills, tools, durable state, verification, and a runtime that recovers when things go wrong. Everything I believe about agent platforms, I learned building it.
What I believe about
agent infrastructure.
- Durability is the product. An agent runtime must engineer retries, fallbacks, circuit breakers, and state recovery into the platform. An agent that loses its work is not productive.
- Primitives, not monoliths. Identity, credentials, storage, compute — composable and reusable across every agent, so new agents come up quickly and safely.
- The runtime decides. Routing, judging, and evaluation belong in the platform, not bolted on. A platform doesn't just pass calls through — it decides.
- Measure everything. Cost in every response, A/B evaluation with LLM-as-judge, live-traffic replay. You can't improve what you can't measure.
- Security is a platform property. Ephemeral, credential-managed, sandboxed environments — the agent's world should disappear when the work is done.
- Lead AI engineering for Glide's re-architecture from a no-code platform into an AI-enabled, agentic business software platform — from traditional app building to an AI-assisted, vibe-coded development experience.
- Drove foundational technical decisions behind two rapid architecture evolutions, arriving at the agentic platform released in June 2026.
- Own the agentic runtime: defined the architecture for agentic app generation and the agentic runtime model, and built the early code that became production — the agentic loop, deployment harness, and core engineering primitives.

- Managed multiple pods of two to five engineers, turning ambiguous platform goals into de-risked execution plans with incremental milestones.
- Drove modernization across infrastructure and core systems — internal developer platform investment, microservices decomposition, a large-scale database migration, and reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency initiatives.
- Ember — an AI-native content site builder that turns natural conversation into fully designed, published websites: no dashboard, no theme browsers, no CMS.
- GitFork — a zero-provisioning Git service for AI agents: ephemeral repos that materialize on demand and auto-expire.
- ImageGPT — generate, serve, and cache AI images directly from an image URL: no API keys, no SDKs, no backend.
- SheetGPT — put AI in Google Sheets; among the first to support OpenAI in the Google Workspace Marketplace. Exited September 2024.
- Technical executive responsible for the Engineering organization and the long-term technical health of a payment gateway processing billions in transaction volume.
- Worked with the executive team to transition the company from a startup to a venture-funded, accountable organization.
- Grew Engineering from a team of a few engineers to a department of 30+, owning the structure, processes, and efficacy of the organization.
- Delivered foundational payment processing products with an outside-in, customer-driven approach.
- Built and operated the Ruby on Rails services that comprised the Heroku platform, working in small teams across engineering, product, and documentation.
- Established and grew the Heroku partner program from zero to over one hundred member companies, managing the indirect sales channel.
